serious much??
Right after the rides, we were given snacks and lunch. The snacks were given at the resort's cafeteria and the lunch was at the Restaurant. Unluckily, we hadn't have our lunch inside the restaurant coz we were catching up our white water rafting schedule back in CdeO.

We were strolling the nearby adventure resort which they offer several adventure activities like zorb, atv racing, horse back riding, etc. Unfortunately, we got no time for all of these and we headed directly to CDO for the next adventure - white water rafting.

By 12 Noon, we arrived at the resort and have our lunch then. We were given instructions on how to use the paddle and its different strokes. By following such instructions, we, the guests should abide the rules to avoid accidents and just enjoy the fun. By 1:00 PM We headed to the jumpoff area which is 30 minutes away from the resort.

Getting Ready for the rapids...

The jumpoff area: Cute cute namin  tense na pala :)

The jumpoff is right below the bridge.. This river is actually the boundary between Cagayan de Oro and Bukidnon. There are two courses in white water rafting - Beginner's course with 14 major rapids and Advanced course with 21 major rapids. We chose the advanced course and we intend to break the record of 7 flips.

Following are some cool pictures we had.

The Two groups
My friends and I were divided into 2 groups. The yellow raft is for advanced course and is expected to be tossed and flipped more than the blue raft since it is much bigger than the yellow.

Table top: The blue team

Maligo sa :)

We conquered table top
The blue team's flips... Maribel was wiped out

Nasaan kami? lol

Pasensya na.. na tense ako =/

Hahaha :p

By 5:00 PM we finished the 21 rapids with 7 flips. woot! we didnt break the current record but it was all fun! Worth it! We all agreed that the rafting was the funniest and most memorable part of the trip. Next time water tubing :)

Kamras 4 - Mt. Hibok Hibok, Mt. Timpoong, Camiguin

Kamras is a yearly event hosted by Tinago Mountaineers from Iligan City. Luckily, I was invited to join and the trip was one of my most memorable climb ever! Tinago Mountaineers is not really a group of Mountaineer but they act as a family. I so love them :)

Moving on One of the attraction of Camiguin island is Climbing. While on way back to socials at Ardent hotspring, there are several foreigners who prefer to go climbing than do island hopping. And there are a lot of tour guides from the local who offer such services.

Moving on, Camiguin Island can be reached by bus from Cagayan de Oro City. There are several bus going to Balingoan Terminal from Agora Terminal, Cagayan de Oro City. From Balingoan Terminal, it is only a walking distance to port. There are several barges and ferries going to Camiguin island. For more or less and hour ride of ferry going to Camiguin Island.

Mt. Timpoong.

It is a very wet raiforest. There is no scene awaits you at the peak of the mountain but the challenging trails are the only experience Mt. Timpoong awaits you, aside of course from its forest beauty and the fog. :) chillin

Some snapshots during the climb;

Did I say.. umupo ako sa lumot sa itaas yan ng kahoy! scary

no choice but to cross the swamp. Good luck for the leeches >.<

Mt. Hibok Hibok

Mt. Hibok hibok is an active volcano and mountaineers usually went to Camiguin to climb Mt. Hibok hibok and stay for a night at the crater beside the lake. The beauty at the crater is so splendid! No cameras can catch its breathtaking scene. Not even a DSLR nor an  HD video can capture its beauty. Best Mountain I climb so far!

The lake.. I am proud I crossed the lake with bing. whew!

The crater and the lake at the top right

Going to the peak that you need to climb through the boulders
and go through the bushes. First time kong mag parang rock climbing hehe

Kamras people rawr!

I got a couple of friends who didnt make it to the peak prefer to go tour the Island. so lovely pictures they

Freedom Climb For Independence Day, Mt. Lumot

This 2011 Freedom climb is an attempt to break a world record in the category: Largest Ascent on a Mountain (Multiple Locations), the current records holds the largest number of people climbing mountains at the same time took place during the "Big Event" on September 10, 2000 when 600 people simultaneously scaled 112 mountains in the United Kingdom and Ireland.

This Attempt is to break a current record and set a new record category: Freedom Climb 2011 - Largest Number of People Summiting Mountains in 24 hours (Multiple Locations). This is authorized to use the "Guiness World Records". The activity was held last June 11-12 for the celebration of Philippine Independence Day. More information at the official website

The Souvenir Shirt

The girls decided to Climb for Mt. Lumot. Mt. Lumot was famous because of the crash site of Cebu Pacific's Crash Site.

The Famous Shrine
The shrine was built for the tribute of the Flight 387 and every year, people visited the shrine to give there prayers.

Shrine

We were so excited for the climb and the group prepared everything to have the most memorable climb ever. But unluckily, we didn't get to summit and visit the crash site since we got lost at the beginning. LOL Lesson Learn. Always look for trail signs. And the host should do trail blazing before the date of the climb for the newbies :D

Lumot (moss/algae) are scattered around. Mt. Lumot
The Mountain is a protected rain forest.

Going Back to the Shrine

And because we didn't get to the peak, we instead went to the nearby waterfall.

Its refreshing to have this sort of climbs and falls hopping as side trip.

Preparing to go back home. Tired but with big smiles :)

White Water Rafting in Cagayan de Oro and Zipline at Dahilayan

As a great travelistas and likes adventure, me and my friends decided to go water rafting and zipline. One of the most affordable package with zip all you can at Asia's longest zipline at Dahilayan, Bukidnon and white water rafting at Cagayan de Oro City for only P2000. With a great package - van service from cdo to dahilayan zipzone (vice versa), snacks and meals (morning and afternoon), this is the best package we got this summer escapade.

There are more fun trips and adventures Dahilayan adventures could offer like atv rides, horse back riding, tree adventure, zorb and many others. Too many adventures to join yet too little time left. But surely, we gonna go back there and go atv racing. :))

Here's a cute video snapshot of some flips and tosses in the wild rapids.

How to go to Misamis Oriental Aquamarine Park (MOAP) and dolphin island?

Are you planning to go to MOAP? or to dolphin Island?

Last March we've been to Misamis Oriental Aquamarine Park to see dolphins and go snorkeling,

We left for Ozamis City from Iligan City at around 4:30 AM and you will arrive at MOAP around 9 AM. We just took a van to send us to MOAP but if you are a backpacker and want to go to MOAP here's what you do:

Take a bus to from Iligan City - Ozamis. From the Mucas Port, the bus will take a barge going to Ozamis City. From Ozamis city, you can take a van going to Sinabacan, a Municipality where MOAP settled. If you are from farther places, you can reach Iligan through a ferry where it has a direct ship from Cebu, Manila, Bohol and other nearby destinations. Or if you are taking a plane, you can go directly to Cagayan de Oro's Lumbia airport. From the airport you can take a cab going to Bulua terminal where they have several bus trips to Iligan City from 3AM to 8PM.

Its our unforgettable trip to the beach since we have a special guest from US - David. Hope he enjoyed his stay here in the Philippines.

Here's our pictures going to Moap.

I want a toy camera :)

Takashi FX521 Digital Camera, also known as the "digital Holga" is my new craving...

After wanting to have an SLR camera, I found Holga - the best camera for lomography which is a point and shoot camera BUT a very big but, this is much cheaper, yet produces images as same as with SLR photography.

Lomography contains lenses that are clear that makes it much nicer compared to digital cameras. Most Lomo cameras uses film but this Takashi FX521 is produced in digital format that makes it more accessible and handy so you can preview your every capture. Most of the lomo camera are toy cameras, some are waterproof, which has cases and lenses that are plastics, others were of key chain sizes and there are lenses made of jelly. You can notice this toy cameras are multicolored. This would alter the weight, color and dullness of a digital camera not to mention its prices. Lomo cameras contains lenses that enables users to set it to 4 settings: normal, monochromatic, noise, and vivid. But other lomo cameras provides much more settings. Moving on, lomo cameras also enables users to focus the subject which the normal digital camera limits. Furthermore, there are still many lomo cameras in the market the contains advanced settings to provide quality professional images.

Can you just image how powerful this toy cameras are...? and i am looking forward to have one ;)
